I painted another still from Hitchcock’s Psycho. I used a more textured brush to create a tenser atmosphere. Who knows if I succeeded.
Finished the painting from a frame of Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960) in Procreate on iPad. This took much longer than it should have, and I found out that I should have drawn the house with more detail before painting. I ended redoing the windows again and again because the perspective was off, and the porch still doesn’t look right.
A quick drawing of a rose from photo reference on Galaxy Note 3 with Sketchbook Pro.
I used app shopper website to alert me when certain iPad apps go on sale, and Art Rage finally went on sale. Art Rage tries harder to emulate physical media in texture, blending and behavior. Since the taking the reins of our new ERP software deployment I stopped staying up late and drawing. So I did what started me drawing in the first place, downloading a new app and drawing what is in front of me.
I drew the straight on view of the Asaro head, once from the sketch and twice from the photo. After that I decided to draw something completely different from what I usually draw.
I actually started the straight on view twice. The first time I jumped right in to the photo with my sketch book and ink. It was horrible. The second time I copied Jeff’s drawing, and I messed up the eyes which messed the cheeks, etc.
